Emptying the waste bin and replacing the bin bag
Remove the waste bin bag and tie securely.
Remove any items that have slipped between the waste bin bag and the bin itself.
Clear up any items of rubbish around the outside of the waste bin.

Any waste bin surfaces that can be or potentially come into contact with rubbish should be cleaned and sanitised.
Remove the waste bin lid and wash with hot water with detergent diluted according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Rinse with clean water to remove any traces of detergent.
Apply a kitchen sanitiser to the lid diluted to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Rinse with clean water to remove any traces of sanitiser.
Allow to dry thoroughly or dry using a clean disposable cloth or paper wiper.
For all other waste bin surfaces dilute the detergent according to the manufacturer’s instructions and transfer it to a spray bottle.
Spray a clean cloth with the solution and wipe the surfaces.
Prepare a kitchen sanitiser solution according to the manufacturer’s instructions and transfer it to a spray bottle.
Spray a clean cloth with the solution and wipe the surfaces.
Allow all surfaces to dry thoroughly or dry using a clean disposable cloth or paper wiper.
