This post is a guide on best practice when cleaning a coffee machine.
Spray a clean disposable cloth with an appropriate kitchen sanitiser and thoroughly wipe the exterior of the coffee machine, taking care to clean all recesses and corners.
Remove the froth stick if possible and thoroughly clean it with an appropriate kitchen sanitiser used according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure to rinse thoroughly to remove all traces of sanitiser.
Fill the water reservoir of the machine with an appropriate coffee machine cleaning product (tablets are often used for this purpose) and use according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
If there is evidence of limescale build up in the water reservoir then the previous step should be repeated but using an appropriate descaler product.
